He may have made a name for himself as one of the cream of the crop of Atlanta rappers, but London-born 21 Savage (real name Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph) is finally returning home. And he’s putting on a huge show to mark the occasion. In a video shared to his socials the rapper has shared old clips of his childhood, which have been soundtracked by Skylar Grey’s ‘Coming Home’. And now we know they’ll be a mammoth reintroduction back into UK life, when he plays O2 Arena on Thursday, 30 November.

21 can finally return to the UK following a four-year immigration saga, which finally saw him declared a “lawful permanent resident” of the U.S., meaning he’s finally able to make the move. The legal battle first ensued when the rapper was arrested in 2019 for immigrating to the U.S. and overstaying his visa. Drake and 21 Savage None of those immigration difficulties have led to a slowdown in his releases, though, including most notably with Drake – who he performed with in Toronto over the weekend in what was his first live appearance outside of the States. And not long now, until he can add his huge show in London to that list.  In our three-star review of 21 Savage and Drake’s collaborative Her Loss album, whynow wrote: “Whilst not an exceptional project, it is certainly a welcome release from Drake in particular… However, Her Loss lacks some identity as an album.  “21 Savage feels like a passenger too often, and the project is somewhat inconsistent. Nonetheless, Her Loss is a worthy addition to the catalogues of both involved, especially to the fans of Drake alienated by [2022 album] Honestly, Nevermind.”
