Alison Goldfrapp has shared her latest single ‘Hey Hi Hello’, the luminous opener to her upcoming second solo album Flux, due 15th August.

The track, described by Goldfrapp as having “a Euro kind of sound…melodic, up and at the same time a little melancholic”, pairs retro synth textures with bittersweet lyrics about a love that’s slipped out of reach. “We don’t make sense now,” she sings, before the track swells to a euphoric, emotionally-charged finale: “I never wanted to let you go.”

Co-produced by Goldfrapp alongside Stefan Storm (The Sound of Arrows) and Richard X, ‘Hey Hi Hello’ follows recent singles ‘Find Xanadu’, ‘Reverberotic’, and ‘Sound & Light’, each pointing towards a record rooted in nostalgia, renewal, and reflection.

Flux follows her 2023 solo debut The Love Invention and continues her evolution as an independent artist, building on the widescreen electronic sound she helped pioneer with Goldfrapp. Alongside the new music, she’s toured extensively over the last two years, joined Scissor Sisters on their 2025 arena tour, and continued to explore bold visual collaborations.

Set for release on 15th August, Flux promises a mix of pop hooks and introspective songwriting, with Goldfrapp calling the album her most melodic and emotionally open work in years.
