Paul Weller, Bobby Gillespie, Paul Simonon and Jerry Dammers are among the major names announced for the next Artists For Gaza event, taking place on Saturday 27th July at London’s Century Club.

Running from 2pm to 10.30pm across four rooms, the one-day event will raise urgent funds for food and frontline medical support for children in Gaza. Also set to perform are Kevin Rowland (Dexys Midnight Runners), Aitch (Soul II Soul), Lizz Cass, Howie B, Rob Birtch (Stereo MCs), DJ Prime Cuts (Scratch Perverts), Heavenly Records founder Jeff Barrett, Chris Sullivan and more.

This marks the third Artists For Gaza event, following two successful editions earlier this year which raised over ยฃ34,000 for UNICEF’s Gaza appeal. The money helped fund food, shelter, and emergency medical care for children caught in the crisis.

The initiative is the work of Chris Sullivan – writer, visual artists, and legendary club promoter – best known for founding Soho’s Wag Club in the early 80s. The Wag became the cornerstone of London’s creative scene and was the first UK club to book live hip-hop, with historic sets from De La Soul, Queen Latifah, Eric B and Rakim, and others.

Four decades later, Sullivan remains at the heart of the capital’s culture. With Artists For Gaza, he’s harnessing the energy of London’s music community to address one of the more urgent humanitarian disasters of our time.

Tickets are on sale now via artistsforgaza.org.uk.
