Brontës are set to release their self-titled debut album BRONTËS, with singles ‘Cognitive Dissonance’ and ‘Wouldn’t Be Me’ introducing a new wave of airy, direct, and punchy indie rock.

The Glasgow quartet follow early single ‘Cognitive Dissonance’ with the sharp-edged ‘Wouldn’t Be Me’ and melodic cut ‘San Francisco’, signalling a move towards more introspective, emotionally driven songwriting.

Standout track ‘Cognitive Dissonance’ explores feelings of anger and jealousy, lifted by glossy, pop-adjacent vocals, while ‘Wouldn’t Be Me’ leans into frustration and romantic disappointment, pairing conversational lyricism with punchy guitar work that nods towards Blondie.

Signed to Last Night from 2021, Brontës have built momentum on Glasgow’s live circuit, headlining venues such as King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut and appearing across a run of festivals.

Their 2024 EP Element of Revival, which featured a remix from Roller Disco Death Party, set the foundation for the Brontës BRONTËS album, which now arrives with growing anticipation.

Ahead of release, the band will host two listening sessions at Loud & Clear on 23rd April, followed by an official launch show at LNFG Towers in Glasgow on 25th April.

BRONTËS will be available on green, red, and amber vinyl, with the first 100 copies including a signed “paint your own” cover insert.
