Ten years ago, CHVRCHES burst on to the scene with a remarkably accomplished debut album. Now, as The Bones of What You Believe approaches double figures in age, Universal Recordings have released new versions of two of the outfit’s most popular hits, ahead of an anniversary album release. Their debut single ‘Lies’ now boasts a previously unheard live version (one of five included in the anniversary album), alongside a newly remastered version of one of the group’s biggest hits, ‘The Mother We Share’. Check out both the new tracks below: Alongside the original 12 tracks, there are four previously unheard songs (including the recently shared ‘Manhattan’ and ‘Talking In My Sleep’) and five live tracks, the latter recorded at Ancienne Belgique in 2013.
Talking about the upcoming release, Lauren Mayberry said: “It feels quite strange that Bones is almost a decade old. In some ways, it’s like it just happened, but also like that era was a lifetime ago. We are very grateful to all the fans who gave that album a special place in their heart, and still show us so much kindness today.”
The Bones of What You Believe: 10 Year Anniversary will be available from 20 October. You can pre-order the album here.
