The Doc n’ Roll film festival celebrates the masterful art of music documentary making, and they’re returning to the UK from 26 October – 12 November, with screenings across London and the UK. 25 feature films are playing at the festival, including documentaries on TLC, Judee Sill, Cyndi Lauper, The Zombies, Max Roach, The Elephant 6 Recording Co, Tom De Vit and Pavement. The schedule also includes the first-ever authorised documentary on Nic Cave’s seminal band, The Birthday Party, and the story of the world’s largest-ever illegal rave, Free Party: A Folk History.

Vanessa Lobon Garcia, director and co-founder of the festival, said of Doc n’ Roll 2023: “This special edition is a testament to the power of music, transcending boundaries and cultures, and uniting us all in a shared love for the art form. Through these documentaries, we aim to shed light on the remarkable stories of artists who, like us, have pursued their passions against the odds with unwavering dedication.
