Doctor Who has a long and proud tradition of historical adventures, though the Doctor rarely changes his look to match the setting. By putting Ncuti Gatwa in a 60s look as iconic as this, though, Russel T. Davies is clearly having a lot of fun with his second stint in the showrunner’s chair.

The new photos come on the tail of the costume reveal of a brand-new villain, played by two-time RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Jinkx Monsoon. In a press release, the character was described as ‘the Doctor’s most powerful enemy yet!’ Spooky!
