Rising alt-pop star Dora Jar has released her latest single, ‘She Loves Me’, accompanied by a visually engaging music video. The track, available via Island Records, showcases a deeper exploration of the artist’s internal dialogues and dual personas.

In the newly unveiled music video, directed by Erica Snyder and inspired by real events, Dora Jar presents a vivid portrayal of her contrasting selves. The video captures her moving energetically around a Berlin apartment party, clad only in a towel, mingling with both friends and strangers. Dora Jar describes the song as “an ode to the girl I wish I could be,” reflecting on her personal dichotomy—her public facade versus her private self.

‘She Loves Me’ marks Dora Jar’s first release since the 2022 single ‘Puppet’, a glam rock track that indicated a new sonic direction for the artist. Additionally, earlier this year, Dora was chosen by Ashnikko to remix the 2023 single ‘You Make Me Sick!’.

Having moved from New York to Los Angeles at a young age, Dora Jar has quickly made a name for herself in the music industry. Her work has been recognised by major publications such as NPR, The New York Times, W Magazine, and Billboard, highlighting her eclectic and mature songwriting. Her music spans a range from gentle indie rock to more dynamic expressions, evident in her debut EP, Digital Meadow, and the follow-up, Comfortably In Pain.

In 2022, Dora Jar embarked on her first North American headline tour, selling out venues and later joining The 1975 on a national arena tour in 2023. She has also supported Billie Eilish on the ‘Happier Than Ever World Tour’ across the US, Australia, and New Zealand, performing in iconic venues like Madison Square Garden.

With new singles and an album anticipated in 2024, Dora Jar continues to solidify her position as a compelling voice in the alt-pop scene.
