EKKSTACY is back with a new track, ‘Head in the Clouds,’ marking the final preview before the release of his highly anticipated third studio album, Forever.
The single captures the atmospheric and distorted soundscapes the artist has become known for, drawing from shoegaze influences and infusing them with his signature off-the-wall energy. The accompanying video, directed by Gilbert Trejo, visually mirrors the track’s dreamy, melancholic tone, further highlighting EKKSTACY’s evolution as an artist.
The 23-year-old musician continues to carve his space in rock music with a sound that’s as expansive as it is raw. Forever, due out on May 16th via UnitedMasters, promises to showcase a more refined version of the artist’s intense style, incorporating emo influences from bands like Japandroids and Remo Drive, while focusing on themes of personal growth and maturation.
EKKSTACY describes the album as a deeper exploration of the experiences and lessons that shape us. ‘Head in the Clouds’ encapsulates this, with its atmospheric layers and expansive rock feel, signalling the artist’s journey toward artistic maturity. The track follows previously released singles like ‘Keep My Head Down’ and ‘She Will Be Missed,’ which have been well-received for their energetic, emotionally charged sound.

The release of Forever comes off the back of a busy year for EKKSTACY. After his self-titled second album, which included the standout single ‘Bella,’ he surpassed 300 million streams on his breakout hit ‘I Walk This Earth All By Myself.’ He also graced the cover of GQ Hype, landed on Spotify’s Top 10 Debuts chart in both the US and UK, and spent the year touring globally, including stints with Blink-182 and $uicideboy$.
In support of Forever, EKKSTACY will embark on a North American tour beginning July 2nd in Seattle, WA. The tour, which includes 20 dates across the US and Canada, will feature performances in cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Dallas, before wrapping up with appearances at summer festivals including Osheaga Fest in Montreal and Sziget Fest in Budapest.
For fans looking to experience the album in full, Forever will also be available for pre-order on vinyl, with a series of shows scheduled throughout the summer.
Check out ‘Head in the Clouds’ and stay tuned for more details about Forever ahead of its release next month.
