Ekkstacy has unveiled his latest single, ‘She Will Be Missed’, alongside a visually striking music video directed by Jason Nocito. The track follows his recent releases ‘Seventeen’ and ‘Mr Mole’, marking the third single since his acclaimed self-titled album earlier this year.
With its driving drumbeat and effortless vocals, ‘She Will Be Missed’ radiates contagious energy while showcasing Ekkstacy’s mastery of post-punk sounds. The single reflects the personal and creative growth Ekkstacyhas demonstrated throughout 2024, a year that’s cemented his reputation as one of alternative music’s most promising talents.
Discussing the track, Ekkstacy shared: “‘She Will Be Missed’ is a song about leaving someone behind. I’m not really sure who—it could be anyone, as a lot of people have come and gone from my life recently. The song came together quickly, written in just two takes off the top of my head. It encapsulates how I’ve been feeling for the past few years. The video is beautiful, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
This release caps off an impressive year for Ekkstacy, who has seen his breakout hit ‘I Walk This Earth All By Myself’ surpass 300 million streams. His previous single ‘Seventeen’ garnered airplay from BBC Radio 1, appearing on Dan P Carter’s Rock Show and Sian Eleri’s Future Artists. In 2024, Ekkstacy also graced the cover of GQ Hype, made Spotify’s Top 10 Debuts chart internationally, and performed across the globe, including tours with Blink-182 and $uicideboy$.
The accompanying music video for ‘She Will Be Missed’ highlights Ekkstacy’s creative vision, with Nocito’s direction adding a cinematic quality to this deeply personal track.
