‘Birth4000′ marks Floating Points’ first solo material since last year’s acclaimed EP, Someone Close. It’s the latest in a string of singles the Mancunian has released under his Floating Points moniker, including ‘Someone Close’, ‘Problems’, and ‘Grammar’.
Not one to rest on his laurels, Shepherd broadened his scope last year when he teamed up with the London Symphony Orchestra and jazz icon Pharoah Sanders on the album Promises. In addition to his music, Shepherd has been busy composing the score for the upcoming ballet Mere Mortals, set to premiere at the San Francisco Ballet this coming January.View this post on Instagram
