Frost Children, the sibling duo of Angel and Lulu Prost, have announced their third album, Sister, set for release on 12th September.
The announcement comes alongside the release of their new single, ‘Control’, accompanied by a Ben Turok-directed video.
‘Control’ marks a confident step into the EDM influences that shaped their early musical experiences. Raised in St. Louis, the siblings immersed themselves in the sounds of artists like Skrillex and Zedd, influences that are evident in the high-energy production of their latest work.
The track combines elements of emo, electro, and pop, reflecting their diverse musical palette.
The duo describes ‘Control’ as their most authentic expression to date, stating, “We don’t care about perceptions anymore and we’re really just ready to take over dance music and make people bounce and feel free.” This sentiment aligns with their history of genre-blending and boundary-pushing in the music scene.
Sister follows their 2023 releases, Speed Run and Hearth Room, which showcased their versatility from high-octane electronic tracks to more acoustic, introspective compositions. The upcoming album is expected to merge these styles, offering a comprehensive look at their artistic evolution.
In addition to the album release, Frost Children have a series of live performances scheduled, including appearances at Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Governors Ball in New York, and Best Kept Secret Festival in the Netherlands. Their tour will extend through Europe and North America, culminating in a performance at London’s XOYO on 13th December.
