Honey I’m Home push into heavier territory on new single ‘Hyperspace Mountain’

Honey I'm Home

Honey I’m Home have shared their new single ‘Hyperspace Mountain’, alongside details of an upcoming European tour.

The Dutch band continue to evolve their sound, with Honey I’m Home Hyperspace Mountain drawing on shoegaze textures and indie guitar work, while introducing flashes of early 2000s skate-punk energy in the vocal delivery.

Lyrically, the track centres on themes of self-erasure and frustration. Vocalist and guitarist Thom Schotanus explains:
“‘Hyperspace Mountain’ is about sidelining yourself, and the frustration that comes with it, and the desire for that to change.”

The single marks a shift from the band’s earlier material, bringing a stronger electronic influence into the mix. That added weight reinforces its central idea, the feeling of stepping back from your own life, rendered here in something more direct and hard-edged.

The release arrives alongside news of a European tour supporting Girl Scout, with dates across Germany and France. UK shows are expected to follow, building on the momentum of recent single ‘Pretty’, which picked up support from BBC Radio 6 Music.

Having already made their US debut with appearances at SXSW and New Colossus Festival, Honey I’m Home are steadily expanding their reach, positioning themselves within a new wave of guitar music shaped by introspection and tension.

‘Hyperspace Mountain’ is out now.
