Just Mustard have shared their searing new single ‘Endless Deathless’, alongside a self-directed video, ahead of the release of their third album We Were Just Here on 24th October via Partisan Records.
Produced by the band and mixed by David Wrench (Frank Ocean, FKA twigs), We Were Just Here finds the Dundalk five-piece channelling their warped guitars, cavernous low-end and fractured sound design into something more anthemic and immediate.
‘Endless Deathless’ is the most striking example yet of this evolution, its dream-like verses detonated by a central hook of pure noise and heavy sub bass. Vocalist Katie Ball explained how she conceived the track:
“I wrote the lyrics for this song by imagining myself on a dance floor. We wanted to write more songs that suited places like that. I suppose I would describe it as an existential love song but you can hear it and feel it anyway you like.”
The accompanying video, directed by guitarist David Noonan, mirrors that headrush of disorientation and exhilaration, evoking the sensory overload of a crowded venue.
The single follows the album’s title track and early teaser ‘Pollyanna’, with the band having already previewed the record at sold-out shows in North America, the UK and across Europe. Where their 2022 album Heart Under was immersed in grief and longing, We Were Just Here reaches toward ecstasy, connection and the desire to feel truly alive.
Alongside the album release, Just Mustard will play a string of UK and Ireland in-store shows this October, before their biggest headline show yet at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre on 1st May 2026. They’ll also join The Cure for three major outdoor shows next summer, including Dublin’s Marlay Park, Belfast’s Belsonic and Edinburgh Summer Sessions.
We Were Just Here is out 24th October via Partisan Records.
