Zoe Ball and Kylie Minogue, along with Joel Dommett, have caught ‘rona and will be self-isolating.

Zoe Ball was due to be one of the show’s hosts but has instead tweeted that she will be watching proceedings at home instead. Bit of a Ballache. Meanwhile, Aussie superstar singer Kylie said she won’t be able to perform with the cast of BBC’s Ghosts in a planned sketch because she too has caught Covid.

And as you can see from Joel Dommett’s Instagram, he is ‘super annoyed’, not just annoyed, by his contraction of the endemic virus.

Dommett has been replaced by Vernon Kay, while Ball said Alesha Dixon would “work the double shift tonight” to fill in for her. “I owe you lady love,” she told her on Twitter.

Covid-19 infections have continued to increase in England, with around one in 20 people in private households estimated to have had the virus in the week to 12 March, according to the Office for National Statistics, however, almost the entire population are now immune. Sir Lenny Henry, David Tennant, AJ Odudu and Paddy McGuinness will be Comic Relief’s other presenters from 19:00 GMT.

The show will be broadcast from BBC studios in Salford for the first time, with other highlights including Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders visiting The Repair Shop, and Matt Lucas and David Walliams reviving their Rock Profiles sketches.
