Lauren Auder has announced details of her new album Whole World As Vigil, due for release on 27th March 2026.

A defining figure across music, fashion and performance, Auder first established her voice through a run of striking EPs before releasing her 2023 debut the infinite spine. Since then, she has become known as both a collaborator and cultural presence, working alongside figures including Vegyn, Danny L Harle and Caroline Polachek, while also modelling for fashion houses such as Marni, Gucci, Celine and Alexander McQueen.

Following her return late last year with Madchester-leaning single ‘yes’, Auder has now confirmed that her second album will arrive via untitled (recs). The announcement is accompanied by new single ‘Praxis’, which is out now.

Balancing industrial abrasion with her instinctive grasp of pop form, ‘Praxis’ is built around a striking mechanical sample, pairing relentless forward motion with moments of clarity and release.

“‘praxis’ is built around a sample of a power drill cutting through metal,” Auder explains. “Its perpetual motion felt like a parallel for my own philosophy, that keeping yourself moving forward is enough to live for. I was inspired by Steve Reich, Kate Bush and Bruce Springsteen, trying to bring all these worlds together in a way that felt uniquely me.”

Lauren Auder will mark the album’s release with a London headline show at Chats Palace on 26th March 2026.
