Lauren Auder is back with new single ‘Yes’, her first release since 2023’s debut album the infinite spine.
The track, written and co-produced with regular collaborators Dviance and Alex Parish, is out today (give it a spin below).
It’s a song about the dizzying rush of love, framed by a more direct pop and dance sensibility than her earlier work.
“‘Yes’ feels like breaking new ground for me,” Lauren says. “I’m pushing further into pop and dance music, playing around with house-influenced pianos, Madchester-esque grooves and a tightly packed lyric delivery. The track’s movement expresses that rush of adrenaline, the feeling of time speeding up, the constantly tumbling sensation that comes with falling in love.”
It’s the first glimpse of where Lauren might be heading next. the infinite spine was an ornate and emotionally charged debut that built on three acclaimed EPs – 5 Songs For The Dysphoric (2021), two caves in (2020), and Who Carry’s [sic]You (2018).
Since emerging in the late 2010s, Auder has quietly built on of the most distinct careers in modern pop. Beyond her own records, she has collaborated with artists as varied as Vegyn, Celeste, Clams Casino, Caroline Polachek, Boris, Danny L Harle, and Wendy & Lisa. Her work extends beyond music too: she’s composed for Virgil Abloh’s Louis Vuitton campaigns and modelled for Marni, Gucci, Celine, Alexander McQueen, Ann Demuelemeester and Ganni.
The new single arrives ahead of a London headline show at Chats Palace on 26th March 2026.
