Lola Young has released ‘Not Like That Anymore’, the latest track from her upcoming album I’m Only F**king Myself, out 19th September.

It’s one of her most direct songs to date. Stripped back but emotionally full, it carries the kind of weight that doesn’t need overproduction. The message is clear. She’s moved on, and there’s no going back.

The single follows ‘One Thing’, which continues to climb the UK Singles Chart and has already pulled in millions of streams. Both tracks will appear on the new album, co-written and produced with Manuka and SOLOMONOPHONIC, whose credits include Doja Cat and SZA. Lyrically, the album digs into self-sabotage, escapism and the aftermath. But there’s also clarity in the chaos. Lola sounds like she knows exactly what she wants to say.

She’s had a big year already. After performing at Coachella and opening for Billie Eilish in Paris, Lola won the Ivor Novello Rising Star award and was nominated for Best Pop Act at the BRITs. Now she’s set to play Glastonbury for the first time next Friday, followed by a run of summer festival dates and a headline North American tour this autumn.

Her last album, This Wasn’t Meant For You Anyway, earned a five-star review from whynow, where we called it bold, open, and emotionally charged. If ‘Not Like That Anymore’ is anything to go by, this next record could go even further.
