Melody’s Echo Chamber teams up with El Michels Affair for new single ‘Daisy’

Melody’s Echo Chamber has returned with a new single, ‘Daisy’, a collaboration with El Michels Affair.

Written with Leon Michels, known for his work with Clairo, Olivia Dean, Kali Uchis and Norah Jones, the track is a sparkling slice of psych-pop, full of shifting key changes and winding, Hendrix-like guitar runs. Grammy-winning mixer Jens Jungkurth (El Michels Affair) was brought in to shape the final version.

“‘Daisy’ started as a daydream while listening to Leon’s finest music,” says Melody Prochet. “I reached out to him, and we instantly created this sweet overlapping zone, like an invisible playground between our worlds. It’s a privilege to have made this one together.”

The French artist has spent the past decade navigating both acclaim and challenge, with three beloved albums under her belt: her self-titled debut (2012), Bon Voyage (2018) and Emotional Eternal (2022). More recently she shared Unfold, a collection of rarities, toured to much praise in 2022, and collaborated with Crumb on their single ‘Le Temple Volant’.

Leon Michels, meanwhile, continues to expand his reach through El Michels Affair. Alongside work with Wu-Tang Clan, Lizzo and The Carters, he also runs Big Crown Records, home to Lee Fields, Lady Wray and Liam Bailey. His new solo album 24 Hr Sports is out now.
