Hackney singer-songwriter Mychelle returns with her latest single, ‘You Don’t Care About Me’, released today alongside the news that she will be supporting Jorja Smith on the UK leg of her upcoming tour.
The track, produced by Tom Henry (Gotts Street Park), was born out of a last-minute studio session up north, one Mychelle nearly missed after a chaotic train journey.
Marking another step forward in her ever-evolving sound, ‘You Don’t Care About Me’ delivers Mychelle’s signature blend of soulful vocals and understated instrumentation, with lyrics that cut straight to the core. “It’s about knowing when to stop wasting words and choosing to move on instead,” she explains.
This release follows ‘Sweet Nothings’, which kicked off 2025 for Mychelle and earned support from BBC 1Xtra (Tune of the Week), Victoria Jane (BBC Radio 1), Wonderland, COLORS, Blues Project, and The Line of Best Fit.

Her growing catalogue includes the EPs Closure (2021), Someone Who Knows (2022), It’s Not You, It’s Me (2023), and the stripped-back Me & Gaz (2024), as well as her fan-favourite collaboration with ENNY, ‘Forbidden Fruit’, which has racked up close to 2.5 million plays.
Beyond her music, Mychelle is known for embracing movement and adventure. She recently ran alongside Mo Farah and Olympic athletes inside the London Eye for a Nike event, an experience she shared with her community. “I try to stay connected to everything that fuels me, whether it’s sport, music, or just pushing myself out of my comfort zone,” she says.
Mychelle’s journey from busking on the streets of London to touring internationally has earned her praise from The Metro, Evening Standard, Dork, Clash, and airplay from DJ Target, Adele Roberts, and Jamz Supernova. Having already played Montreux Jazz Festival, Boardmasters, and tour dates with Michael Kiwanuka, she now prepares for a run of major UK shows with Jorja Smith and festival slots at Across The Tracks and Mad Cool Festival in Madrid.
With a new project on the horizon, 2025 is shaping up to be a landmark year for Mychelle. ‘You Don’t Care About Me’ is out now, and her UK tour dates with Jorja Smith kick off soon.
