From love to fallout: Nell Mescal shares ‘See You Again’ before biggest headline tour yet

With new single ‘See You Again’, Nell Mescal offers a candid snapshot of love and fallout before the release of ‘The Closest We’ll Get’

Nell Mescal has released ‘See You Again’, the third preview of her upcoming EP ‘The Closest We’ll Get’, out 24 October.

Produced by Philip Weinrobe (Adrianne Lenker, Billie Marten, Cass McCombs) during Brooklyn sessions, the EP leans into a more organic, folk-leaning palette – natural and intentionally unvarnished. Across six tracks, Mescal charts the rush, fallout and fragile denial that bookend a relationship.

“‘See You Again’ was written about leaving the house of someone you are seeing, and promising yourself and all your friends you won’t ever go back… and then almost ritualistically returning and ignoring every bit of advice you receive, because you can’t picture a life without the other person,” Nell explains.

Building on a breakout run that’s drawn support from i-D, The New York Times, Vogue, NME and Radio 1, plus sold-out US debuts and festival sets at Latitude, All Points East, Electric Picnic, Reading and Leeds, Mescal takes her biggest headline tour to date across the UK and Ireland in November and December.
