Role Model unveils nostalgic black-and-white video for ‘The Longest Goodbye’ featuring Laufey

Role Model has released the official video for ‘The Longest Goodbye’, a standout track from the deluxe edition of his album Kansas Anymore. The new version, a duet with Grammy-winner Laufey, leans into the track’s wistful tone with a black-and-white visual directed by Neema Sadeghi.

Filmed in a vintage performance style, the clip sees Tucker Pillsbury and Laufey trading verses with a full band, complete with retro instruments and monochrome styling. The video premiered across MTV’s global network and on the Paramount Times Square billboards, giving the track a prominent international launch.

Originally released as a solo track, ‘The Longest Goodbye’ featured on Kansas Anymore (The Longest Goodbye), the expanded edition of Role Model’s sophomore album. Released earlier this year via Polydor and Interscope, the deluxe version added four new songs, including the viral ‘Sally, When the Wine Runs Out’, which Pillsbury recently performed live from Vevo Studios.

The duet version of ‘The Longest Goodbye’ also marks another milestone in Role Model’s live journey. Laufey joined him onstage for a performance of the song in a recent instalment of his No Place Like Tour Diaries, and the sold-out world tour continues to build momentum. After summer festival appearances at Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, and Austin City Limits, the tour’s second leg heads to the UK and Europe this November, with every date already sold out.
