The Last Dinner Party’s Aurora Nishevci and composer and arranger Nathan Durasamy have introduced a new joint project, Rora and the Untamed.
The pair have known each other for some time, with Durasamy previously working on arrangements for The Last Dinner Party’s second album, From the Pyre. Their debut album as Rora and the Untamed, Do You Like Me Now?, is out October 9th, moving between the personal and the mythical, drawing on Ancient Greek lore across often transformative songwriting.
Aurora and Nathan have described the record as being about their relationship to being artists, an inner conflict between “wanting to be in the shadows and wanting to have the spotlight,” questioning their own motivations and how their work shapes their relationships and careers.
New single ‘Savage White Swan’ is out now, an exquisitely sculpted piece of art-pop that blends electro elements with a vivid, widescreen arrangement.
Do You Like Me Now? is out October 9th.
