Sam Fender releases ‘Tyrants’ after live tour buzz and Record Store Day vinyl debut.

Sam Fender has released Tyrants’, a previously vinyl-only track lifted from his Record Store Day EP Me and the Dog.

The track had already been making waves on his recent tour, and now arrives on streaming services after growing calls from fans following live performances in Europe and North America.

The release lands in a blockbuster year for Fender. His third album, People Watching, notched up over 100,000 first-week sales and became the fastest-selling UK album of 2025 so far. It also secured his third consecutive UK Number 1 and earned him another BRIT Award for Best Rock/Alternative Act.

Touring has followed suit. A sold-out European run led directly into a North American leg that wrapped in Denver last night. Next, he heads back to the UK for a summer of massive outdoor shows, kicking off with a headline slot at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Liverpool before taking on four sold-out stadium dates, including a landmark night at London Stadium on 6th June and a trio of packed-out homecoming gigs at Newcastle’s St. James’ Park.

‘Tyrants’ joins the streaming world off the back of live momentum, after being a highlight of the recent tour. Fans had been calling for an official digital release, and it now arrives as a standalone moment from the Me and the Dog EP, which had until now remained a Record Store Day exclusive.

The track’s release follows the recent unveiling of a video for People Watching’s closing track Remember My Name’, adding to the growing weight behind what’s shaping up to be another defining year in Fender’s career.
