Fox News reports that Miami-Dade fire rescue responded to the incident. Four of the victims were transported to hospital, with one said to be in critical condition. It is believed that as many as ten people were wounded in the incident, though Miami Gardens police could not confirm the exact numbers. Police said that while the condition of the injured was unknown, there were no fatalities.
“We believe it’s an isolated incident,” said Delma Noel-Pratt, Miami Gardens police chief. A witness said the shooting happened at the French Montana music video shoot in the restaurant’s car park, called The Licking. It’s alleged as many as 15 gunshots rang out. “It was like at least 13, 14, 15 gunshots,” the witness said. “It was very rapid, it sounded like an assault rifle. I took off running, and I was looking back, but I was like, ‘You know what? Let me just duck first, and then people started asking me, you know, ‘Can you help me?’” TMZ reports that French Montana’s security team got him out of the area safely and without incident. He is believed to have been recording with Rob49.#BREAKING: Witnesses say multiple people shot in front of #TheLicking in #MiamiGardens during a #FrenchMontana video shoot.@MGPDFL confirms multiple victims, says shooting investigation underway. @nbc6 #Miami pic.twitter.com/VkoiJPSvFt
