Sombr will play a special show at The O2 Arena in London on June 22nd 2027, his biggest UK headline concert to date.
The date forms part of Sombr’s continent-spanning “You Are the Reason” arena tour, which opens in Oslo on May 8th 2027. Ravyn Lenae and Jessie Maizin support across the European run, with Suki Waterhouse joining for the tour’s London finale at The O2.
Born Shane Boose and raised on New York’s Lower East Side, Sombr left school at 16 after his single ‘Caroline’ became an early viral hit, going on to work closely with producer Tony Berg, known for his work with Phoebe Bridgers. His breakthrough came in 2025, when ‘Back to Friends’ and ‘Undressed’ went viral on TikTok, both landing in the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100 and reaching the top ten in multiple countries. ‘Back to Friends’ alone has since passed two billion streams on Spotify.
That run of success carried into his debut album, I Barely Know Her, released in August 2025 and since certified Gold, with three of its singles charting simultaneously on the UK Albums Chart and the Billboard Hot 100. The album has now passed four billion streams. Sombr capped the year by winning Best Alternative Video at the MTV VMAs for ‘Back to Friends’, before entering 2026 with a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and BRIT nominations for International Artist of the Year and International Song of the Year.
2026 has brought new singles ‘Homewrecker’ and ‘Potential’, the latter premiered live during his Coachella debut in April, alongside a widely reported endorsement from Taylor Swift, who later invited him to perform at her Songwriters Hall of Fame induction.
