Sophie and the Giants have released a new single, ‘A Little Bit Wild’, a sharp, synth-led track about losing control and letting go. Out now (listen below), it’s a clear step forward in Sophie’s solo output: direct, punchy, and confident in tone.
“This song is about me saying to myself, it’s okay to lose control sometimes,” Sophie says. “Life gets messy and feelings get loud.”
There’s a sense of release running through the track. “You stop overthinking and let yourself feel everything; the chaos, the highs, the mess,” she explains. “That’s where the magic is. Feel it. F**k it. That’s just me, owning it.”
The single comes ahead of a 15-date European headline tour this November, with stops in London, Paris, Berlin, Milan and more. She plays The Lower Third on 5th November. Tickets are on sale now at sophieandthegiants.com.
‘A Little Bit Wild’ follows recent singles ‘Bad Friends’ and ‘Red Light’, both produced by Billen Ted. All three are expected to feature on a debut mini-album due later this year, with full details still to come. The music so far suggests a clear shift; less collaborative, more personal, and rooted in a defiant sense of control and self-expression.
Sophie’s track record over the past few years is hard to miss. Her collaborations with Purple Disco Machine produced two massive hits in ‘Hypnotized’ and ‘In The Dark’, both of which topped airplay charts across Europe and clocked up hundreds of millions of streams. Since then, she’s also worked with Moby, R3HAB, and Fast Boy, and built a strong following across European festival stages.
