Static Dress have signed to Sumerian Records, confirming a significant next step for the fast-rising UK four-piece.

Currently on the road, Static Dress have built their reputation on an uncompromising live show and a restless creative momentum. The move to Sumerian, one of the most influential labels in the alternative and heavy music space, formalises a relationship that has been developing behind the scenes for several years.

Commenting on the signing, Sumerian Records president Shawn Keith says: “As Sumerian Records celebrates 20 years, we will usher in a new era of authentic and unconventional talent. Static Dress represents the quality of artistry we want to support.”

The band echo that sense of alignment, describing the partnership as one built on trust rather than compromise. In a joint statement, they say Sumerian have supported the project selflessly over time, allowing Static Dress to move forward without creative restrictions or external pressure.

Alongside the announcement, Static Dress have shared new single ‘Human Props’. The track cuts sharply into post-hardcore territory, refined through constant touring and delivered with a precision that heightens its intensity rather than diluting it. There’s a sense of control beneath the chaos, a band fully aware of how to weaponise restraint as much as aggression.

The accompanying video is self-constructed, designed as a deliberate counter to algorithm-driven visual culture. Rather than chasing endless scroll appeal, Static Dress continue to build their own closed circuit, where sound, image and intent remain tightly bound.

With a major label deal now in place and new material arriving at pace, Static Dress appear focused on scale without surrendering identity, a balance few bands manage at this stage.
