Suede have announced their tenth studio album, Antidepressants, due 5th September 2025.
The band will mark the release with a four-night residency at London’s Southbank Centre, featuring a range of exclusive live performances.
Following the critical and commercial success of 2022’s Autofiction, which landed at No.2 on the UK Albums Chart, Suede return with what Brett Anderson calls their “post-punk record”. Recorded live with longtime producer Ed Buller, Antidepressants draws on the band’s electrifying live energy after a three-year global run of packed shows. The new material was tracked across sessions in Belgium, London, and Stockholm.
Lead single ‘Disintegrate’ premiered today on BBC 6Music, alongside a stark black-and white video directed by Chris Turner. It sets the tone for an album Anderson describes as “broken music for broken people,” confronting anxiety, modern tension, and the search for connection in a fragmented world.
“This is a widescreen and ambitious record,” says bassist Mat Osman. “It’s a big stage record and it’s taking it up a gear.”
To coincide with the album, Suede will take over the Southbank Centre in September. Dubbed Suede Takeover, the series kicks off with two nights at the Royal Festival Hall (13th and 14th September), followed by an off-mic, intimatic performance at the Purcell Room on the 17th, and culminating in a full orchestral show with the Paraorchestra at Queen Elizabeth Hall on 19th September. It will be Suede’s first return to the Southbank Centre since Bowie’s Meltdown in 2002.

Brett Anderson teased the shows as a departure from the standard gig format: “Expect old songs, new songs, borrowed songs, blue songs, drama, melody, noise, sweat, and a couple of surprises.”
The album will be available in multiple formats including CD, cassette, coloured vinyl, and a deluxe box set.
Tickets go on general sale Friday 23rd May at 10am, with presales for Southbank Centre members and album pre-orders beginning earlier that week.
