The Cribs have announced Selling A Vibe, their first new album in five years, set for release on 9th January 2026. The band have also shared lead single ‘Summer Seizures’ alongside its video, and confirmed a UK headline tour for spring 2026.
Written after a rare summer spent reconnecting as brothers rather than bandmates, Selling A Vibe reflects a renewed sense of family. “In the beginning, we were brothers who had a band. And I think we realised we’d become a band that happened to be brothers,” Ryan Jarman says. The album was produced by Patrick Wimberly (Solange, MGMT, Lil Yachty), who brought a more contemporary approach to the trio’s melodic indie-rock framework.
‘Summer Seizures’ was the first track they wrote for the record, capturing a turning point in Ryan’s life in New York. “I’d had the best summer of my life here and then, a few years ago, undoubtedly the hardest,” he explains. “So when I could feel it coming around again it was a way of marking time and looking at where I’m at now and trying to tie it all together. It’s a song about love, tragedy and learning to live with yourself, all set during summertime in NYC.”
The video, shot on 16mm by Andy Knowles, strips things back to the band as they are, with no gimmicks. “In a digital age of infinite options, shooting on film meant that it had to be quick, spontaneous and most importantly, natural,” Ryan adds.

For bassist Gary Jarman, the album feels especially personal: “As time has gone by our albums have become more and more open – and as such the songs on Selling A Vibe feel very personal. It can be nerve wracking releasing them because they matter so much to us. But ultimately our only hope is that people enjoy and connect with the songs and lyrics for what they are.”
The Cribs will preview Selling A Vibe with a one-off War Child benefit show at London’s Shacklewell Arms on 23rd August, followed by All Points East the next day. Their headline UK tour begins in Newcastle on 18th March and closes in Brighton on 28th March 2026.
