The Hives announce new album and share single ‘Enough Is Enough’

The Hives return with new album The Hives Forever Forever The Hives, out this August, plus a full European tour.

The Hives

The Hives have announced their seventh album, The Hives Forever Forever The Hives, set for release on 29th August 2025 via Play It Again Sam.

The announcement was accompanied by a livestreamed portrait reveal and press conference from Mexico City’s Palacio Metropolitano, with the band also sharing a new single and video, ‘Enough Is Enough’.

The track, recorded in Bucharest and directed by Eik Kockum, finds the band in typically combative form, with frontman Howlin’ Pelle Almqvist declaring, “Who in their right mind would start a song like this? No one but The Hives… they have had enough of everyone at this point. Hence the title. Dig? Dig.”

The Hives Forever Forever The Hives was produced between studios in Sweden and the US, with longtime collaborator Pelle Gunnerfeldt joined by Mike D of Beastie Boys and Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age. It follows 2023’s The Death of Randy Fitzsimmons, which marked their first album in over a decade.

The band have also announced an extensive European and UK tour for autumn 2025, including a headline show at Alexandra Palace in London on 29th November and a Manchester date at Aviva Studios the night before. UK tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday 11th April.

The Hives remain one of rock’s most flamboyant and enduring live acts, with a reputation sharpened by decades of chaotic shows, explosive riffs, and hyper-literate bombast. The BBC once called them “a force of nature”. They’ve sold millions of albums, picked up Grammy, NME and MTV Awards, and shared stages with AC/DC and The Rolling Stones.

The Hives Forever Forever The Hives is available to pre-order now.
