Vince Staples reveals upcoming album Dark Times set for 24th May release

West Coast rapper Vince Staples is set to release his highly anticipated album Dark Times on May 24th, following his career-high Ramona Park Broke My Heart.

Vince Staples has announced his new album, Dark Times, set for release on 24th May. The West Coast rapper’s previous album, Ramona Park Broke My Heart, was a career high, receiving widespread acclaim. Known for his unique sense of humour, Staples found success with the Vince Staples Show last year.

Although music took a back seat for a while, Staples has been working on his next project. Constructed over a seven-month period in North Hollywood, Dark Times is now ready for release on Friday.

The title emerged naturally during recording sessions. Staples explained, “I’m Black, and that’s what we’re evading. We all have our things that could kill us. We all have that imminent threat.”

The new single ‘Shame On The Devil’ is already available (give it a spin below). The album tracklist includes titles like ‘Close Your Eyes and Swing’, ‘Black & Blue’, and ‘Children’s Song’.
