Yakul drop new album ‘Gravity Pulls You Home’ and announces UK tour

Future soul pioneers Yakul have finally released their highly-anticipated second album, Gravity Pulls You Home. Accompanying the album is their new single ‘Won’t Change Me’, and to celebrate, Yakul is gearing up for a UK headline tour this September.

Yakul, known for blending vintage neo-soul with modern UK-centric sounds, created this album during a retreat designed to tap into the healing power of music. “We cultivated a safe space where no idea was wrong and every suggestion was valid and had its place,” the band shared. The result is 12 captivating tracks that showcase their innovative sound and deep-rooted creativity. The album balances sonic experimentation with the warmth of analogue production, offering an inspiring message: “To those feeling lost: the biggest and most important parts of your life are drawing you in. You need only relinquish the need to control it, and gravity pulls you home.”

Following the release, Yakul will tour the UK, starting in Manchester at Band On The Wall and concluding in Brighton at Dust on 21st September. Full tour dates include:

Yakul has been gaining traction with millions of streams and acclaim from platforms like Complex, Clash, and Red Bull. Their live performances at Glastonbury and Love Supreme festivals, along with sold-out shows at Ronnie Scott’s and Jazz Cafe, have solidified their place in the future soul scene.
