After stopping last night\u2019s Manchester gig after just four songs, Sam Smith has cancelled rescheduled dates in Birmingham and Glasgow due to \u201ca vocal cord injury\u201d.<\/b><\/p>\n

Performing at Manchester\u2019s AO Arena on Wednesday evening, Smith left the stage early on in their set and was unable to return.<\/span><\/p>\n A spokesperson took to Smith\u2019s Instagram first, writing: \u201cDoctors have advised complete vocal rest\u201d because of the injury. \u201cIf they keep singing, they will do permanent damage to their voice. If they take some rest, they will be able to perform again.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Smith then later revealed that they had been suffering with the virus several weeks ago, but had recovered until Wednesday evening\u2019s gig.<\/span><\/p>\n
