First trailer for 65 has just landed online and it looks like Adam Driver is battling dinosaurs in this sci-fi horror from the writers of A Quiet Place.
Cinema hasn’t been great for us dinosaur lovers. Jurassic Park is perhaps the only franchise really devoted to bringing these gigantic, pre-historic creatures on the big screen. If the latest entry, Jurassic World: Dominion left you wanting more action involving these beasts, you are in luck.
After a brief teaser was posted online, many thought Adam Driver’s new film would involve Kylo Ren himself battling aliens, but it turns out, we were wrong.
Have a look at the trailer for 65 below.
It’s dinosaurs. It seems that Driver’s pilot Mills accidentally gets sent back in time, which would indeed explain why there are dinosaurs roaming around, ready to eat Mills or the little girl he encounters.
The official synopsis clarifies things: “After a catastrophic crash on an unknown planet, pilot Mills (Adam Driver) quickly discovers he’s actually stranded on Earth…65 million years ago. Now, with only one chance at rescue, Mills and the only other survivor, Koa (Ariana Greenblatt), must make their way across an unknown terrain riddled with dangerous prehistoric creatures in an epic fight to survive.
“From the writers of A Quiet Place and producer Sam Raimi comes 65, a sci-fi thriller starring Adam Driver, Ariana Greenblatt, and Chloe Coleman. Written, directed, and produced by Scott Beck & Bryan Woods – the film is also produced by Sam Raimi, Deborah Liebling and Zainab Azizi.”
With Sam Raimi producing and the writers of A Quiet Place in writing and directing duties, it’s safe to say that we are in good hands. 65 arrives in cinemas 10 March, 2023.
