Black Country, New Road share details of new album ‘Forever Howlong’

Black Country, New Road have returned with a triple-whammy of good news: a new single, forthcoming album and a UK, Ireland and European tour.

Black Country, New Road

The Mercury-prize nominees’ new record will land 4th April via cult indie label Ninja Tune, and will mark the follow-up to the band’s highly-acclaimed 2022 album Ants From Up There (which reached No.3 in the charts).

Forever Howlong will mark the first studio album following the departure of vocalist Isaac Wood, with vocal duties now shared between Tyler Hyde, May Kershaw, and – one-half of the Jockstrap duo – Georgia Ellery.

To mark the news, the classically trained outfit have shared brand-new single ‘Besties’, which bears the fruit of their dazzling arrangements – have a listen below, and check-in again on the video which premieres at 5pm today.

The new project also benefits from the expertise of producer James Ford, whose credits include Fontaines D.C.’s Romance, The Last Dinner Party’s Prelude to Ecstasy and Depeche Mode’s Memento Mori, to name just a handful of recent albums.

The band will no doubt be bringing the album to light on the road – as our five-star review of their O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire gig can attest.

Thankfully, the sextet will be giving plenty of opportunity for that, with a UK, Ireland and European tour set to take place from September, following a run of shows in the States this May.

Check out the full list of forthcoming UK, Ireland and EU dates below – and visit the band’s site for more information and to buy tickets.
