The festival will also host multiple world premieres, including Robert Louis Stevenson’s Doctor Jekyll in which Eddie Izzard plays the title character, Nina Jekyll. Horror fans can also check out the upcoming horror Cobweb at FrightFest before its release in September.

There’s also a couple of notable anniversaries this year. FrightFest is putting on special screenings of James Wan’s The Conjuring and William Friedkin’s The Exorcist.

FrightFest also prides itself on showcasing a wide variety of talent. This year, there will be three Discovery screens which will each play some of the more left-field entries to the programme.

The First Blood strand will also showcase some stellar debut films by filmmakers. It’s here you will find the next James Wan or Ari Aster. You can find details on those at the FrightFest website
