May Gaming Guide

Gamers rejoice! May is absolutely jam-packed with great new titles hitting our screens and consoles. This month has something for everyone, from the return of an arcade favourite to a game adaptation of one of the most iconic horror franchises. It’s a tough job choosing which to include in our gaming guide, but someone has to do it.

Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters (PC) – 5th May

Say hello to Andy Serkis! Serkis stars in the sequel to 1998’s Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate. Get ready to command a whole squad of elite Grey Knights. Serkis voices Grand Master Vardan Kai, who will offer support to the Grey Knights from afar.

Salt and Sacrifice (PC, PS4, PS5) – 10th May

Remember Salt and Sanctuary from 2016? If you do and enjoyed it, you’re in luck because May also sees the release of its sequel, Salt & Sacrifice. Described as a dark fantasy RPG game, Salt and Sacrifice will see players play as the Marked Inquisitors, tasked with hunting Mages.

We Were Here Forever (PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X) – 10th May

This one’s for couples or close friends. If you enjoyed It Takes Two but needed a bit more of a challenge or just like your games creepier, We Were Here Forever is here to fill your needs. A sequel to We Were Here, players return to Castle Rock and once again have to encounter that rather scary jester.

The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story (PC, Switch, PS4, PS5) – 12th May

The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story is a mystery-adventure game and who doesn’t enjoy some mystery with their adventure? You play as Haruka Kagami, a novelist, who is trying to unsolve several murders from different time periods.

Evil Dead: The Game (PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Switch) – 13th May

It’s never a bad time for a new Evil Dead title, whether it is a film, TV show or a video game. Bruce Campbell returns as Ash and you can kick some Deadite butt in this multiplayer game. You can either play as a member of the survivor group or control the Deadites and destroy the survivor group. Groovy!

Vampire Masquerade – Swansong (PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch) – 19th May

In Swansong, you play as three different characters in order to solve a mystery. There will be murders and deception, as well as power struggles. Did we mention you play as vampires? The game is also based on a table-top role-playing game.

Sniper Elite 5 (PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X) – 26th May

Sniper Elite 5 is – you guessed it! – another sequel to the Sniper Elite series, this time throwing protagonist Karl Fairburne into France in 1944. Tumultuous times in history, but a neat continuation from the earlier games’ settings in Italy and North Africa.

Pac-Man Museum + (PC, Switch, PS4, Xbox One) – 27th May
