Radiohead have revealed their plan to release ‘KID A MNESIA’ later this year, a new album which the band have described as a ‘memory palace of half-remembered, half-forgotten sessions & unreleased material’.

The new album will accompany the 21st anniversary reissuing of ‘Kid A’ and ‘Amnesiac’, which were released in October 2000 and May 2001, respectively.

For Radiohead fans, these days are few and far between. And worthy of cherishing.

Radiohead delighted fans in a similar fashion in 2017, with the reissuing of OK Computer with previously unheard material.

To top it all off, the band have today released the single ‘If You Say the Word’ in the run-up to the album’s release.

The track straddles both the irregular, off-beat aspects of ‘Amnesiac’ and the deeper, mellow undertones of ‘Kid A’, teasing fans over the full album release.

These tracks were originally recorded during sessions in 1999 and 2000. The full track list is below:

  1. Like Spinning Plates (‘Why Us?’ Version)
  2. Untitled V1
  3. Fog (Again Again Version)
  4. If You Say the Word
  5. Follow Me Around
  6. Pulk/Pull (True Love Waits Version)
  7. Untitled V2
  8. The Morning Bell (In the Dark Version)
  9. Pyramid Strings
  10. Fast Track
  11. Untitled V3
  12. How to Disappear into Strings

The five-piece British band from Oxfordshire, fronted by the mercurial Thom Yorke, made the announcement with a video of ‘Kid A’ and ‘Amnesiac’ CDs being frantically forced into one.

From listening to ‘If You Say the Word’, there’s little doubt the work will be a harmonious end-product.

‘KID A MNESIA’ will be available in a limited-edition deluxe LP, a limited-edition cassette, a regular black 3xLP, 3xD, and digitally.

A 360-page hardback book with more than 300 artworks by Thom Yorke and Stanley Donwood, who has produced art work for all of the band’s albums since 1994, will also be released and are available to pre-order now.

Go on, creep.
