DIIV has announced a new series of EU/UK tour dates for winter 2024, following the release of their critically acclaimed album Frog in Boiling Water. The band will also support Fontaines D.C. at Alexandra Palace in London.
Released last week, Frog in Boiling Water has garnered praise for its atmospheric and emotionally resonant soundscapes. Critics have highlighted the album’s introspective lyrics and intricate production. DIY described the album as “truly special,” while Stereogum named it their Album of the Week, calling DIIV “a modern standard bearer to a younger generation.” Clash praised it as “as gorgeous a record as you’ll hear this year.”

Frog in Boiling Water, produced by Chris Coady, took four years to complete and almost caused the band to break up. The album explores complex themes of societal collapse and the human condition, with inspiration drawn from Daniel Quinn’s The Story of B. The band describes the album as “a collection of snapshots from various angles of our modern condition.”
