The action moves to New York City in Scream VI which has just got its very first teaser trailer. Ghostface is once again after these kids, but who will live to tell the tale this time?
Moving away from Woodsboro, Scream VI wants to inject some new energy into the franchise by setting the film in New York.
Most of the surviving cast from last year’s Scream (aka Scream V) is back, but as the teaser shows, so is Ghostface.

We’re getting pretty heavy Scream 2 vibes from this. That film memorably opened with a scene in a crowded cinema where several people were dressed up as Ghostface and it allowed the real Ghostface to kill someone in the mayhem.
In the teaser, there’s a lot of Ghostfaces on board the train where we find our characters, including Jenna Ortega’s Tara and Melissa Barrera’s Sam. The noise and the darkness makes it a perfect hunting ground for our favourite masked killer.
Jasmin Savoy Brown’s Mindy seems to be one of Ghostface’s victims in the trailer, but perhaps there is hope for her still. Courtney Cox is also returning as Gale Weathers and Hayden Panettiere will reprise her role as Kirby from Scream 4.
Neve Campbell however will not be back as the franchise’s chief Final Girl Sidney Prescott.
Scream VI will arrive in cinemas 10 March, 2023, but if slashers aren’t your thing, 65 will also grace the silver screen on that same day and you can check that trailer out here.
