Grammy Awards 2023
Harry Styles has won the award for best album at the Grammy Awards 2023, whilst Beyoncé made history with a record-breaking 32nd Grammy Award.
Styles won the award for his third album, Harry’s House, the lead single for which is the chart-smashing track ‘As It Was’. In doing so, he saw off competition from the likes of Adele, Lizzo and Beyoncé for the night’s most coveted prize.

Styles also gave a performance of ‘As It Was’ on the night, and used his acceptance speech to humbly say: “it’s obviously so important for us to remember that there is no such thing as best in music.” But it would be Beyoncé who would ultimately have the most significant night in music history after winning Best Dance/Electronic Album for Renaissance, overtaking Hungarian-British conductor George Solti’s 20-year record of 31 Grammy Awards in the process.

“I’m trying not to be too emotional,” the 41-year-old icon said upon picking up her award on stage. “I’m trying just to receive this night.” Beyoncé had initially arrived late to the ceremony due to traffic, with host Trevor Noah joking “I thought you travelled through space and time”. But after arriving, the singer would receive a total of four awards on the night, including for Best Dance/Electronic recording of Renaissance’s lead single, ‘Break My Soul’.

In addition to Styles, there was more British success at this year’s awards. Adele was once again successful, picking up the award for Best Pop Solo Performance for ‘Easy On Me’. She was visibly emotional by the award, despite her partner Rich Paul apparently telling her “not to cry”, before donating the prize to her son Angelo.  Who were the winners at this year’s 2023 Grammy Awards? Here’s the list in full:
