The Slates cultivate melodic euphoria with single ‘Watch Life Burn,’ and announce headline UK Tour

The Slates have developed their sound further from their DIY indie-pop origins with their new single ‘Watch Life Burn’, and have announced a string of tour dates kicking-off in Birmingham.

The single expands on vocalist Louis Barnes’ experience moving to university with the frontman having described the track as a reflection of nostalgic feelings and a reminder to live life to the fullest.”

The group’s release follows their signing with This Feeling Records in partnership with LAB Records, and marks their first music with new addition Cohen Hall as their drummer.

The Slates have compiled their releases so far into an exclusive album ‘From Then Till Now’, available in vinyl-only at each headlining show and containing an unreleased track ‘Try It Again’.

The band have compiled all of their releases to date into a vinyl-only format named ‘From Then Till Now’, which is limited to just 500 copies and will be sold exclusively on their forthcoming headline tour.

Their tour builds from their New York debut at New Colossus Festival in March, and will see them join the line-ups of the likes of Y NOT?, Truck Festival, Tramlines and Brighton’s The Great Escape while also supporting The Kairos in Liverpool this month.

The Yorkshire quartet will then gear up to take their hard-hitting live performance to Spain’s Polifonik Sounds.
