It’s been a huge night for Adele at the BRIT Awards 2022, as she took home the spoils for Best Song (Easy On Me), Best Artist and Best Album, after a year which saw the release of her chart-topping 30.
This was arguably no surprise (30 became the best-selling album of 2021 in only the six weeks it had to do it) in a night that saw few surprises – save perhaps for Wolf Alice’s win for Group of the Year. Not that Wolf Alice didn’t deserve it, but they saw off the likes of the more mainstream Little Mix.
The night also saw performances from KSI and Anne-Marie (who will be eager to forget her fall, reminiscent of Madonna in 2015), BRITs Rising Star Holly Humberstone and Adele herself.
By far the strongest performances, though, were from the brilliant Little Simz and, to close the show, Dave, who brought out an ensemble of rappers including Fredo, Ghetts & Meekz before also trying his hand at guitar.
Overall, whilst the awards aspect seemed like a relatively safe call all-round – Ed Sheeran won Best Songwriter of the Year, for instance, as though to appease the fact he was pipped to the post by Adele in the other main categories – it was a night to celebrate the very best in British music.
Here, then, is the full list of winners.
