It’s been a tough month for the kids of the 1990s. A lot of our childhood heroes are leaving us. First Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman and now Jason David Frank.
The news of Frank’s death broke on Sunday, November 20.
The actor first appeared in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in 1993. The show ran for three consecutive years but constantly returned with new iterations and adaptations.
Frank originally portrayed the Green Ranger, introduced as a villain. The character had a change of heart later and turned into the White Ranger to keep Frank in the role after it proved popular with fans.
Wow. JDF was a backstage green room buddy at cons. We enjoyed the crappy coffee, smoking stogies on the loading dock and dressing up in whacky outfits. Jason’s loss is another reminder to appreciate the ones you’re with – right now. Fight on, JDF. https://t.co/1WYyLMirHr

Frank’s representative confirmed the news of his death to Yahoo.

“He loved his family, friends and fans very much. He will be truly missed.”
All of Ranger Nation is deeply saddened by the loss of Jason David Frank. JDF brought countless smiles to fans over the years and will be greatly missed. May the Power protect him, always. 💚
