Takeoff, the American rapper best known as being a member of Georgia hip hop trio Migos, has been killed at the age of 28.
According to local reports, the rapper was shot at House of Blues in Houston, Texas. The incident is alleged to have originated over a game of dice. Takeoff is believed to be the lone fatality, though two other people were shot. Alongside his uncle Quavo – who was present at the scene but believed not to have been injured – and cousin Offset, Takeoff was part of Migos, which was founded in 2008. Hailing from Lawrenceville, Georgia, the trio went on to achieve astronomical success with tracks such as ‘Bad and Boujee’, ‘Walk It Talk It’ and ‘Stir Fry’.  Migos’ last three albums have been part of the ‘Culture’ trilogy, culminating in Culture III in June 2021. In 2018, Takeoff released solo album The Last Rocket. Just last month, his joint effort with Quavo, Only Built for Infinity Links, was released. This is a breaking story. More information will be added when it appears.
