Florence Pugh has had a hell of a year. The Oscar-nominated actress has gracefully navigated her way through a scandal, starred in two excellent films (Don’t Worry Darling and The Wonder) and filmed her part in Dune Part II

It looks like 2023 is going to be another stellar year for Pugh as the first trailer for Zach Braff’s A Good Person has just dropped.

Have a look below:

Releasing in UK Cinemas and on Sky Cinema, the official synopsis for A Good Person gives us the basic storyline.

“Written and directed by Golden-Globe nominee Zach Braff, we follow Allison (Pugh), a young woman whose world falls apart when she survives an unimaginable tragedy, whilst in recovery for an opioid addiction and unresolved grief. She forms an unlikely friendship with her would-be father-in-law, Daniel (Freeman) that gives her a fighting chance to put her life back together and move forward.”

The trailer does look very emotional and it’s another hefty part for Pugh to sink her teeth in. She’s acting against the legendary Martin Freeman and what else could we ever want from a film?

Pugh was memorably in a relationship with Braff, but the two have since called it quits. Freeman, on the other hand, appeared in Braff’s previous directorial effort, Going In Style. With all this talent behind and in front of the camera, we can’t wait to watch A Good Person.
