DMA’S will return to the UK next month to mark the 10th anniversary of their debut album Hills End, with additional dates added following strong demand.
Originally released on 26th February 2016, Hills End launched the Sydney trio onto the international stage, quickly establishing them as one of Australia’s most exportable indie bands. Drawing heavily on Britpop melody, anthemic choruses, and raw emotional immediacy, the album struck a particular chord with UK audiences, where DMA’S rapidly built a devoted following.
The anniversary tour will see the band perform Hills End in full each night, including tracks that have never previously been played live, alongside a selection of fan favourites from across their wider catalogue.
Formed in Sydney in the early 2010s, DMA’S first emerged with a run of early singles and EPs before Hills End crystallised their sound. Songs such as ‘Delete’, ‘Lay Down’, ‘Too Soon’, and ‘Step Up The Morphine’ became defining statements, blending chiming guitars and melancholic lyricism with stadium-ready hooks. The album would go on to be certified Silver in the UK, cementing the band’s close relationship with British audiences.
Since then, DMA’S have continued to evolve across a series of well-received albums, headlining major venues, appearing at festivals including Reading & Leeds, Glastonbury, and TRNSMT, and consistently selling out tours across the UK, Europe, and Australia. Despite shifts in sound and scale, Hills End remains a touchstone moment, capturing the band at their most immediate and emotionally direct.
Reflecting on the milestone, the band said:
“The UK has always felt like a second home for us. Hills End was where our story really began overseas, so it feels right to come back and celebrate it with the fans who’ve supported us from day one.”
The tour begins in Manchester on 6th February, with added dates now confirmed in London, Manchester, Glasgow, and Nottingham.
