Embrace have announced their new album Avalanche, set for release on 12th June 2026, alongside details of a full UK tour marking the band’s 30th anniversary.
Emerging in the late 90s with a sound that outlived the Britpop moment that surrounded it, Embrace have maintained a devoted following across three decades. Now, the band are celebrating that longevity with both new music and a run of headline shows this November.
Released via Cooking Vinyl, Avalanche is available to pre-order now. The album is introduced by new single ‘Road To Nowhere’, which is out today.
Frontman Danny McNamara describes the record as a shift in perspective, shaped by noticing smaller, often overlooked moments rather than chasing big statements.
“We came into this album with a really simple idea,” McNamara explains. “That real joy doesn’t live in huge achievements, but in the small flashes of magic that happen when you slow down and actually live in the moment.”
He adds that Avalanche is rooted in acceptance and emotional honesty, allowing songs to remain unresolved or uncomfortable where necessary. “Life doesn’t wait for you to be ready. It just keeps happening. This album probably asks more questions than it answers, and that felt more open and raw than anything we’ve done before.”
Musically, the band prioritised feel over polish, embracing imperfection in favour of something more human and immediate. “The less you consciously try to say something, the more you end up saying,” McNamara notes.
Avalanche arrives 12th June 2026, with Embrace heading out on a 30th anniversary UK tour later this year.
