Marvel has released the first trailer for The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special which will stream on Disney+ on November 25.
Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) is feeling a bit blue for many reasons. One, his dad turned out to be a massive, evil planet in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and then his girlfriend Gamora was killed in the events of Infinity War.
Star-Lord also misses the earthly celebrations of Christmas so the rest of the Guardians, including but not limited to, Rocket, Groot, Drax and Mantis, set out to give Star-Lord the most perfect Christmas.
That, it appears, includes kidnapping Kevin Bacon, who plays himself in the film. The events of the Holiday Special take place between the events of Thor: Love and Thunder and the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which is set to premiere May next year.
The Holiday Special and Guardians 3 will be director James Gunn’s last collaborations with Marvel before he moves on to exclusively head DC Studios and overseeing their main cinematic universe.
Marvel also released a poster for the special which sees Drax and Mantis passed out, evidently from all the partying we see the pair do in the trailer.
